Growing Book by Book is "collaborating with bloggers to create a resource collection of books and activities/projects ideas for each state of America." Together they have created a fantastic book list for all of the states.

Do you have a favorite book about New Jersey or your state?
Hi Penny!
ReplyDeleteWe have been studying the state quarters this year and have been enjoying picture books to go along with them. A few of my favorites have been:
-Sugarbush Spring by Marsha Wilson Chall (Vermont or any state where maple syrup is produced)
-Camping with the President (North Dakota - Theodore Roosevelt National Park)
-Who Carved the Mountain? - Jean L.S. Patrick (Mt. Rushmore - South Dakota)
-One Day in the Prairie - Jean Craighead George (Oklahoma)
-Mississippi Going North - Sanna Anderson Baker (Minnesota/headwaters of the Mississippi River)
I enjoy your blog. Thanks for sharing it!
Kelly
Hi Kelly!
DeleteSounds like a fun study - and those are some fantastic books! It's the perfect time of year to tap for maple syrup too.
Thanks for stopping by!
